Cogitore Resources Inc. - "Prospector of the Year Award"
The 2009 Prospector of the Year Award is attributed to Cogitore Resources, for the discovery of new mineralized zones on its Scott Lake Project, located northwest of Chibougamau.
Despite a dramatic drop in base metal prices, Cogitore's exploration team is reaping the rewards of its efforts as it discovered new massive sulphide lenses in a mature mining camp such as Chibougamau.
Now recognized as one of the most important geoscience and mineral exploration conventions in Canada, "Quebec Exploration" is a joint event co-hosted by the Association de l'exploration miniere du Quebec and the Ministere des Ressources naturelles et de la Faune. Breaking new attendance records year after year, the 2009 edition is no exception, with close to 2,000 delegates and visitors over the four days of events.
