OTTAWA, ONTARIO, Nov. 3, 2010 (Marketwire) -- C-COM Satellite Systems Inc. (TSX VENTURE:CMI) ("C-COM" or the "Company") the leading global provider of mobile auto-deploying satellite antenna systems today announced that it has received a Certificate of Compatibility with the Russian Federal Standards and Regulations for all of its iNetVu(R) mobile antenna systems.
The Certificate of Compatibility was issued by the Russian Federal Agency of Technical Regulations and Metrology and is assigned to one of C-COM's resellers, AltegroSky, based in Moscow.
This is an official confirmation from the Russian Federal Agency that all of the C-COM manufactured iNetVu(R) products have passed the required standards set by the Russian government for satellite equipment and can be legally imported and sold in Russia.
"The Russian market for the C-COM manufactured products is large and this Certificate of Compatibility will allow our reseller AltegroSky to integrate all of our iNetVu(R) mobile antenna systems with their services and offer it to government agencies and large private corporations, which require this Certificate of Compatibility for all satellite equipment sold in Russia." said Leslie Klein, President and CEO of C-COM.
"Obtaining the Russian Certificate of Compatibility for the iNetVu(R) family of products is a very important event for AltegroSky. As a leading supplier of iNetVu(R) mobile VSATs in Russia the availability of this certificate will open up a significant incremental market for us for mobile antennas to be deployed with many government institutions, systems integrators and large corporate customers. We are confident that this will allow us to further strengthen the already well entrenched and well respected iNetVu(R) product position in the Russian market." said Dr.Sergei Pekhterev, head of the AltegroSky Group.
